Dr. Melanie Green, ND
Dr. Melanie Green, ND practices Naturopathic Medicine at Sacred Root Acupuncture & Naturopathic Medicine.
Her first introduction to the vast benefits of natural healing modalities came from a variety of holistic providers throughout her years as a yoga teacher and during her undergraduate studies in Portland, Oregon. When she discovered there was a means to provide primary care with a core focus on hearing the patient, treating the root cause of disease and using the healing power of nature as first line treatment options, she then began her life’s work of studying Naturopathic Medicine.
Dr. Green understands the importance of relationship with a care provider and aspires to create depth over time with each of her patients. In doing so, she feels there is greater opportunity for not only inspiring health in everyday life, but in finding a state of wellness that results in greater authenticity, contentment and personal empowerment for each individual. As a mother of four children, she also knows that creating this state of well-being can increase and enhance the quality of life for families and communities as a collective entity.
Dr. Green is a graduate of the National College of Natural Medicine with additional training in Craniosacral Therapy, Women’s Health and Pelvic Floor Therapy, and IV Nutrient Therapy. She is a member of the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians and the Washington Association of Naturopathic Physicians.
In addition to private practice, Dr. Green also formerly worked as the Naturopathic Doctor and Residency Director at The Center – A Place of Hope, a treatment center for patients struggling with depression, anxiety, addiction and eating disorders located in Edmonds, WA.
